World Time Zones

Several people asked about when the group chat starts in different time zones. Here's a quick breakdown:

In the USA

EDT: 9PM
CDT: 8PM
MDT: 7PM
PDT: 6PM

In Europe
-------------------
MSKS: 5AM
EEST: 4AM
CEST: 3AM
BST: 2AM
UTC: 1AM

In Australia
-------------------
AEST: 11AM
ACST: 10:30AM
WCT: 9:45
AWST: 9AM

A new window will open and expand to a larger page. Here are a couple tips to help you in the chatroom:

If you're going to be away for a while, please choose "Away" or "BRB" in the pull down menu. The menu reads "Here" by default. This will greatly reduce the requests on the server and increase performance.

Following is a list of IRC functions used in the room. Unfortunately, you can't yet use the /nick command to change your name. You can always type /help for this list if you need to. Some of these aren't yet being used.

Managing messages:
/back Shows the last of entries of the rooms chat.
/backtime Shows the last of the rooms chat.
/clear Clears the chat screen. This only affects your screen, not the screen of other users.
/me Issues an IRC-like "action" to the chat.

Accessing rooms:
/part Logout of the chat.
/quit Logout of the chat.
/logout Logout of the chat.

Managing users:
/names Shows a list of all user names in all public rooms
/sos Alerts moderator in current room or all moderators. is optional.
/who Profile page popup for . If you are login information is added.
/whowas Profile page popup for any registered .

Other:
/motd Displays the Message of the Day.
/topic Shows the topic or welcome message for the room you are in, if any.
/version Shows which version of the chat you are using.
/welcome Same as /topic.
